Come aboard and sail with us.
Pearson Longman is here to help you as much as we can because we know how demanding your job is. And we care.
Teachers of English have always been at the vanguard of all teachers. They have always been enthusiastic about taking part in teacher training seminars and learning about new approaches to and trends in teaching, always eager to try out new teaching methods and techniques, always ready to brush up on their English. As a result they know what they want for their students. As publishers, we at Pearson Longman, are lucky to have such demanding customers because it means we always do our best.
On the other hand, teachers of English are usually very busy with heavy workloads. That is why they appreciate every bit of help.
Here are just a few things that Pearson Longman can do in order to help teachers of English:
• We can help you make the right choice of coursebooks that will meet your and your students’ needs
• We can help you spend less time on lesson and course preparation
• We can help you keep in touch with the contemporary English language
• We can help you develop professionally by taking part in our ELT seminars

Tour of Serbia – ELT Seminars
On November 9th , in Subotica, we started our tour of Serbia. We had ELT seminars in Pančevo, Sremska Mitrovica, Čačak, Novi Sad, Sombor, Zrenjanin, Zaječar, Niš, Vranje, Belgrade, Kragujevac, Leskovac, Kruševac, Požarevac, Jagodina, and the last one in Šabac on December 14th.
Our teacher trainer Dragana Filipović covered two topics that, according to teachers’ involvement, proved to be of vital interest. The first session, Agony Aunt, please help me. I don’t know how to deal with discipline, was devoted to discipline problems that we all face in our classrooms and quite often don’t have adequate instruments to deal with. The second topic was The four skills in our coursebooks – any issues raised? and had a special focus on reading skill(s).
It was great to see our colleagues again and have a chance to talk to each other, even if only for a short time.

David Evans again in Serbia
At the end of January David Evans, a well-known author and lecturer, is coming to Serbia. He will be holding ELT seminars in Belgrade, Novi Sad and Niš.
If you don’t get an SMS invitation for the seminar by January 25th, please contact your Longman representative.
