Every year in October the city of Belgrade hosts one of the greatest book fairs in the region and as many would say “the most visited cultural manifestation in the Balkans.” More than 800 local and international publishers participated in the event with more than 135,000 visitors. Parson Longman Team in Serbia organized Re-launch of English Adventure and Challenges showing that learning English could be fun for younger learners.

“For the upper-primary students we had prepared an interesting competition including shooting a hoop and answering questions about their favourite sportsmen in English, and, believe me, it was much harder to score points.”

“Furthermore, we had an opportunity to make acquaintances with the teachers and their lower-primary students who were able to present the world of Disney characters by singing and dancing for us and their parents. First, the children picked out their favourite Disney characters (Mickey Mouse, Minnie, Dalmatians, Genie, Shanty etc.) and their faces were dyed in various colours so they would resemble the characters. Then they sang and danced in the rhythm of “Halloween”, “I’m a Scary Monster” and other songs from English Adventure.”

“More than 30 teachers and 100 students participated at our bookstand making it probably the most cheerful stand visited by children. Imagine the winners happy because of the sweets, books and EA caps they got. All of this was captured by our cameras and hereby we would like to share the materials we had gathered with you. “
