Tip of the Month

Here is one game you can play with young learners (in the second, third or fourth grade).

Spelling Bee

The teaching focus is on spelling of familiar vocabulary items. The class is divided into two teams.  The teacher or one of the pupils can act as a questioner.
Procedure:
Both teams stand up. The questioner asks one player at a time  (alternating between teams) to spell a word. If the player succeeds, he/she remains standing. If he/she fails, he/she sits down and the next member of the other team answers. The losing team is the one where everyone is sitting down first.
